About us

Hey, we are the dicecovery collective. This is kind of a blog about board & card games, but is also more about building connections and a community, and embracing our shared enthusiasm and love for a hobby that is a big part of our lives.

We want to highlight games we really like, with a focus on affordable and approachable games, but we also like complex games, some oddities and rare games and also some overproduced cult-of-the-new stuff, and all of this will also have a place here. We are very different gamers, so you will find contradicting opinions on this blog, which is something we love and embrace.

We talk about games and the hobby in various different formats, you can find a more detailed information about this here: formats & tags.

It is really important for us to provide a space that is as inclusive and as barrier-free as possible. We love that board games are a medium to connect to people, and this space should be the same. We will not tolerate behaviour that makes people feel small, not welcome or unsafe in any way.

This blog is kind of a diary and outlet for us, about our experiences with board games and in the hobby itself. Our only ambition is to build a small community, and we love having you here. Thank you so much.

We are punks at heart and try to do everything ourselves or with the help of our friends. We do not use AI or Google Tracking. Also it is important to us that our content is also available on boardgamegeek.com, which is a space that we cherish and support.

We all filled out a questionnaire you can read through when you visit our profile pages.
